A Prosecutor’s Perspective
Before focusing my practice on criminal defense, I served many years as a prosecutor in two different states. That experience provided valuable insight into how criminal cases are reviewed, how charging decisions are made, how evidence is evaluated, and how prosecutors assess the strengths and weaknesses within a case. Today, I use that experience to advocate for people facing criminal accusations throughout Northern Colorado serving clients in Larimer, Weld, Boulder, and Adams counties. Whether at the negotiating table or at trial, there is very little I haven’t seen. I have the know-how to guide you through your case and argue on your behalf in the courtroom. I know this system, where its inefficiencies lie, and how to leverage those inefficiencies for your benefit. While my prior work as a prosecutor does not provide special influence with the state or grant me preferential treatment from the Court, its lessons were hard earned and taught me the mind of the prosecutor. I know how these cases are built, how they are prepared for presentation, and what makes them fall apart. I evaluate cases realistically, think objectively, identify important issues early, and advocate aggressively on your behalf.
